Double post but w/e...

SO pissed off right now. There's a fucking server problem here and guess who's the only one who's stuck in the office? Everyone else, including our IT emergency guy doesn't give a fuck. They only tell me whom to call instead of doing it themselves. They know there's nothing I or anyone else can do right now because the problem is the phone provider, yet I'm still sitting here 1.5 hours after my regular shift ending and why is that? Because they're too goddamn DUMB to finally make it so there's an automatic voice informing our customers of the existing problems.

Some people are stupid, like my fucking managers at work who screams at me because there were times I wouldn't agree to do a double shift.

I got yelled at on my day off because I didn't want to go into work and they needed someone to come in. I had to get my tail light fixed and I was running late on getting it fixed because my best friend thought she went into labor. My boss called me all pissed off and basically forced me to go into work. I couldn't say no because regardless of my right to tell her no, she could still come up with some trumped up reason to write me up and get me fired. I wanted to ask her if everyone was getting an angry phone call or if it was just me but I didn't because I knew I was the only one getting the call and I knew that would be an instant write up. They can technically write me up for talking about it here, but I don't think that they'll see this.......

Wow, your bosses sound like real charms, too. Pretty much like mine. They sometimes call us to do extra work, too. But I never answer my phone when I see it's them. "You called? I'm sorry, I was at the local pool and had to lock my phone up in a locker..."

The sad thing is, we're always alone for the last three hours of our Saturday shift and when I say alone, I mean alone. No one else is in the building and since it's sat in a deserted commercial area, I'm also pretty much alone in the world. To be more "safe" we have to write our manager a text message whenever we have left the building safely. If he doesn't get one until 30 minutes after the shift end, he's supposed to call and see if we're okay. Well, guess what? Not only didn't he call but he also gave no reaction AT ALL when I finally sent him the text saying I had to stay longer because of a problem. At the very least, I would have expected him to send a text back to ask what problem and if everything was alright? If we're supposed to care enough to waste our time in the office, at the very least he should care enough to want to know what's going on!

So true! I mean, doesn't those people supposed to care about thier workers?! wtf?!

I would gladly leave my job, but I love the people I work with and hate to leave them, and I can't think on something else I really good at.

^ Yes, I'm in the same position. Plus, I don't think I could even find another job where I make as much as I am now (which still isn't all that much). Everything I enjoy and am good at really doesn't pay all that well.

Oh god, Saturday shifts are gonna be the end of me. And they're only get worse from October 1st because they changes our shifts plan so Saturdays we'll be open til 6. It's not like I'm gonna work longer but I'll spend more time alone in the office then. [insert sad string music here].
